Barbara Cox MBE

New Zealand women’s football pioneer Barbara was the first national women’s team captain and the first NZ woman to earn the top football coaching qualification in Oceania. A football coach for more than two decades, in 1987 she and her daughter Michele made history as the world’s first mother-daughter combination to play together in an international football game.
